You are here: Welcome
Dear Reader,

Thank you for visiting the Walker's Island website. If you are interested in learning more about the Pennell and Baxter families and the island itself, you are invited to download Part I, read it, pass it around (and remember that I hold the copyright). If you are curious about how the novel ends, there's a "Buy Now" button to the right that you may find useful. Or go to https://www.createspace.com/3333737, where I'll make a little more money, but you'll forego the free shipping option. If you are a bookseller, please contact me for order information. And if you'd like an autographed copy, please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

If Walker's Island is the sum of your interest, this is all there is to know right here. If you are interested in my other work - workshops and individual sessions on creative process - please contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and I'll send you more information.

K. J. Radebaugh

P. S. The three short stories, first published in Florida Sportsman magazine, are about Erli and Fanny Marshall and their niece, Jo Beth Peady. The Marshall and Peady clans live in Osceola County and are not related either by blood or history to the Pennells or the Baxters, though the families do share some cultural similarities.
